A fan ofThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrimrecently came across a ring with a pretty useless passive bonus effect.Skyrimfeatures an extensive equipment systemwhere players can utilize a wide variety of weapons and armor that suit their playing style. The same is true for magic and stealth, as gamers can approach combat encounters in a variety of ways.
Many items and pieces of equipment inSkyrimcome with some sort of passive effect. These can be as simple as bonus damage on weapons, to more complex enchantments that can inflict a few different effects on each strike. As an example, aSkyrimplayer created an incredibly powerful poisonthat deals a ton of damage, decreases the target’s Magicka regeneration, and drains the opponent’s stamina among other effects. Now, oneSkyrimfan found a ring with an unbelievably useless passive effect.

A Reddit user named AWU_Hades has shared an image of a Gold Diamond Ring inThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, with a passive bonus of 0% faster health regeneration. Rings inSkyrimdo not provide any armor and their bonus effects are a key differentiating factor, but AWU_Hades will not get any benefits if they decide to equip this item.
It has a value of 900 despite a worthless bonus effect, so the player can at least sell the item for some gold. Rings are also incredibly light and can be improved with variousenchantments inThe Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, making them perfect for users who want a specific bonus on their character at all times without getting over-encumbered.
OneSkyrimplayer in the comments shares an idea of an even worse ring that improves health by one point but curses the player to lose five HP. Aside from the ring, a couple of fans point to AWU_Hades’ ridiculous armor rating and the impressively high amount of gold they are carrying. Although, one user claims to have collected over 1.8 millionSeptim in their playthrough ofSkyrim.
This isn’t an isolated incident, asSkyrimplayers can randomly come across pieces of equipment having useless passive bonuses. As an example, aSkyrimfan found a sword with a worthless enchantment, as it burned the target for 0 points per second until the end of the combat encounter. Its base damage of 7 was also fairly low, and players seemed more interested in the clean UI mod the poster was using instead.
