Building relationships with the townsfolk inStardew Valleyis an essential aspect of the game’s immersive gameplay. Among the residents of Pelican Town is a kind-hearted and book-loving villager named Penny. She is an NPC that captures the hearts of many players, to the point that some are willing to marry her.
Whether players aim todeepen their friendship with Pennyor romance her and win her affection, the perfect gifts will make all the difference. As with other NPCs inStardew Valley, players can givePennyup to two gifts per week, and one more on her birthday, which takes place on Fall 2.

Players who want to bond faster can do so by giving villagers presents. Loved and liked gifts will work particularly fast, but disliked and hated gifts will have the opposite effect. The best way to get more hearts with a villager inStardew Valleyis to get them items they love. Penny enjoysall universal loves(except Rabbit’s Foot) as well as the following items:

Players can find Diamons in the mines, generally inside nodes which spawn after floor 50
Players can find Emeralds inside nodes in the mines
Gamers can purchase Melon seeds from Pierre’s during Summer
Gamers can purchase Poppy seeds from Pierre’s during Summer
Fish in the pond in the desert to between 6 AM and 8 PM for a chance to catch Sandfish
Penny’s Liked Gifts
If players are having too much trouble gathering some of Penny’s loved gifts, they might want to consider giving her something she likes instead - this will still boost their friendship status, even if not as drastically.
Penny enjoysall universal likesexcept Algae Soup, Beer, Mead, Pale Ale, Pale Broth, Piña Colada, and Wine. On top of this,gamers can gift her any type of milk or artifact and she will be quite content. Penny also likes Dandelions and Leeks, which can be foraged during Spring.
