Inventory management is a central aspect ofStardew Valleygameplay. You can only fit so many items into your backpack at once, even after you get both inventory upgrades.

However, there are a few items you can find that don’t take up any space at all. These objects go into the Wallet, which you can see on your character’s status screen instead of the inventory section. There are 11 Wallet items in total, and they each take up their own space in the Wallet. This means everyStardew Valleyplayer will see them in the same order once you get them all. So if you’re wondering what goes in those empty spots, this guide will explain how to fill your Wallet.

Stardew Valley Dwarish Guide and Dwarf

Dwarvish Translation Guide

You get this item as a reward fordonating all four Dwarf Scrolls to the museum. The best locations to find each one are:

The Dwarvish Translation Guide lets your character understandthe Dwarf in the Mines, the dwarven merchant on floor 5 of the Volcano Dungeon, and the dwarven headstone in the Pelican Town cemetery. You must have the guide to buy items from both dwarves, or to gain friendship points with the Mines Dwarf. You can speak to him and give him items before you get this item, but doing so won’t affect his Friendship score.

Stardew Valley Sewer

Rusty Key

You get the key on the day after you donate 60 items to the museum. While you collect other rewards directly fromGunther, for theRusty Keyhe’ll come to your house the morning after the 60th donation and hand it to you directly. However, since players may have multiple homes in multiplayer, you’ll need to speak to Gunther in a multiplayer game.

The Rusty Key opens up the Sewer region, which you can access from the grate in Cindersap Forest and the hatch in Pelican Town. Jas and Vincent mention the key in mid-spring during the first year, but donating to the museum is the only way to get it.

Stardew Valley Casino

Club Card

TheClub Cardallows playersto access the Casino, which is upstairs in the Oasis in Calico Desert. You get it by completing all four parts of “The Mysterious Qi” quest. Here’s what to do:

The Club Card is what you find in the farmhouse lumber pile. Don’t worry about farmhouse upgrades, because there’s always a pile of lumber on the exterior of the farmhouse no matter what upgrade level you’ve reached, and you may always find the Club Card by interacting with this pile. However, the card won’t be there until you’ve “fed” the dragon skeleton. With the card in your Wallet, the bouncer in the Oasis will let you climb up to the Casino floor.

stardew valley permanent luck increase

Special Charm

After you get theMagnifying Glass(listed below), you can start digging up Secret Notes throughout Stardew Valley. By following the instructions on Secret Note #20, you’ll end up standing next to the Joja delivery truck.

Interact with the truck from this position to speak to the driver. They’ll ask you for a rabbit’s foot, which you can get by building a deluxe coop and buying a rabbit. Once the rabbit has a high enough friendship rating, they’ll sometimes drop a rabbit’s foot instead of wool. Give one to the Joja driver to get theSpecial Charm, which permanently increases luck by a small amount.

Stardew Valley Skull Cavern

Something to note is that you can’t speak to the driver until you dig up Secret Note #20. However, you don’t have to follow the directions before speaking to the driver, and the driver is still available even if you ran Joja out of townby completing the Community Center bundles.

Skull Key

TheSkull Keyisn’t easy to get, but it is straightforward. When you get to floor 120 in the Mines, you’ll get the Skull Key from the chest in the middle of the room. This key unlocks the Skull Cavern dungeon, which is in the northwest corner of Calico Desert.

Magnifying Glass

To get theMagnifying Glass, you must first walk from your farm to the bus stop region during daylight hours in the winter. A cutscene will play as a Shadow Guy spots you and flees into Pelican Town, starting the quest “A Winter Mystery.“This can happen on any winter day.

To complete the quest, follow the footprints in the snow up to the large bush directly to the right of the playground. Interact with the bush to flush the Shadow Guy out, who will apologize for causing a stir and give you the Magnifying Glass.

Stardew Valley Winter Mystery Krobus Location

Once this item is in your inventory, you’re able to start finding Secret Notes. You can find them in generic dig locations, from fishing chests, from cutting down trees, and from breaking open mining nodes. You can read notes in your inventory by using them, and you can reread old notes by checking your Collections tab. There are 25 Secret Notes in total.

Dark Talisman

TheDark Talismanis part of the “Dark Talisman” quest that begins after completingthe Community Center/Joja Warehouse requests. At any point after resolving this plot, you’ll trigger a cutscene when you next enter the railroad area. The Wizard will appear and ask you to find the Dark Talisman, which he thinks is in the Sewer somewhere. Enter the Sewer (which requires the Rusty Key) and speak to Krobus, who opens a path on the west side of the area into the Mutant Bug Lair.

The Dark Talisman is in a chest at the north end of the Mutant Bug Lair. You can then use the Dark Talisman on an object that has the talisman’s outline on it. This opens the way into the Witch’s Swamp. You’ll need some Void Mayonnaise to get past the goblin here, but you no longer need the Dark Talisman for anything. Despite this, it’ll hang out in your Wallet for the rest of the game.

Stardew Valley Witch Hut

Magic Ink

The reason the Wizard asks you to enter the Witch’s Swamp is to retrieve hisMagic Inkfrom her hut. Once you have the Dark Talisman andgive the goblin some Void Mayonnaise, you can enter the Witch’s Hut, where the Magic Ink is on the table to the left.

Bringing the Magic Ink back to the Wizard (use the teleportation rune on the right as a shortcut) will let you buy magic buildings for your farm. Simply use the book surrounded by purple tiles to access this new list of items. However, the Magic Ink will still appear in your Wallet even after you give it to the Wizard.

Stardew Valley Wizard Home

Bear’s Knowledge

This is another “item” unlocked by a Secret Note. Find and read Secret Note #23, then enter the Secret Woods to the west of Cindersap Forest while carrying a bottle of maple syrup. To reach the Secret Woods, you’ll need to get past a hardwood log, so you’ll also need a Steel Axe or better to chop it up.

If you have maple syrupand the time is between 6am and 7pm, a talking bear will approach you in a cutscene and thank you for your gift. In exchange, he’ll give you Bear’s Knowledge. This triples the sale price ofBlackberriesandSalmonberriesfrom 20g and 5g to 60g and 15g. This increase also affects higher-quality berries, but it doesn’t affect the price ofBlackberryorSalmonberrywine or jam.

Stardew Valley Expanded Bear Shop

Spring Onion Mastery

Like Bear’s Knowledge, this “item” represents knowledge rather than an object. To get it, you first need to get both Jas and Vincent up to eight friendship hearts.

After both kids have eight hearts or more, you’ll need to wait for a sunny spring day. When one comes, head to Cindersap Forest between 6am and 5pm to watch a cutscene. During the scene, Vincent will teach your character how to cleanSpring Onionsafter harvesting them. This increases the value of spring onions from 8g to 40g, or up to 80g for an iridium-grade spring onion.

Vincent in Stardew Valley

Key to the Town

The last item in the Wallet comes from the most recent update. TheKey To The Townis one of the items you can buy from Qi’s Walnut Room on Ginger Island. To reach this room, you must:

You then need tocomplete enough Qi challenges to earn 20 Qi Gems, which is the price of the Key to the Town.

A player with the Key to the Town in their Wallet can enter any building inStardew Valleyno matter what time of day it is. This can be helpful when you need to catch someone to give them a gift early in the day or late at night, plus many shop owners hang out behind the counter before and after their doors normally open. For instance, you’re able to visit the Adventurer’s Guild shop at any time, night or day, when you have the Key to the Town, and the blacksmith, Clint, stands by his counter all morning aside from Fridays.
