Summary

OneStarfieldplayer decided to spice up their playthrough by grav-jumping to Venus and clearing every single asteroid from its orbit. ThoughStarfieldenjoyed success at launch, breaking several milestones and setting new Bethesda records, its player count on Steam has dwindled by an alarming amount ever since.Starfield’s ship builder and gunplay were universally praised, but many fans were disappointed by its procedural generation and shallow world-building.

After wrapping up the storyline ofeach faction inStarfield, completing the Constellation main quest, and exploring to a degree that they’re satisfied with,Starfieldplayers have the option to enter the Unity and do it all over again as Starborn. While the new dialogue option offers a shortcut through a select few moments in the main quest, and even offers a chance to prevent a certain character’s death, the experience largely remains the same: they need to gather Artifacts, advance their Starborn powers, and ultimately enter Unity. In order to escape the primary gameplay loop, it’s important for players to try something new.

Whereas most fans dedicate themselves to ship building or outpost decoration, mewrius decided to break up the monotony with an asteroid hunting session on Venus instead. Considering that their ship is decked out with six Slayton Aerospace Thrusters, it should be more than enough to glide through an asteroid field. While shooting at space rocks isn’t considered an optimal way toearn credits inStarfield, each asteroid counts as a mineral deposit, and as such, can yield resources such as Iron or Water.

Thoughship weapons inStarfieldcome in three major categories, particle weapons are far and away the best option for just about any scenario. On paper, laser weapons are ideal for melting through enemy shields, while ballistics are perfect for damaging the hull. However, particle weapons deal respectable damage to both shields and the hull. This lack of a downside has made them a fan favorite inStarfield, though they are often paired with missile weapon systems in most ship builds.
