In a post online, a gamer has revealed a strangeCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2glitch that allows players to equip two riot shields. The riot shield is already extremely frustrating to deal with inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, so this glitch has caused a stir online.

AlongsideCall of Duty: Warzone 2, Infinity Ward’s newest effort has been a huge hit. The sequel to 2019’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfarehad a lot to live up to, but it has managed to meet player expectations with a constant stream of content being added to the game. Just a few days ago,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Season 2 went live, bringing a huge amount of new content to the game including modes, weapons, operators, and cosmetics.

The glitch was posted to Reddit by user Leading-Pop5059, showing off the custom loadout featuring both riot shields. There’s currently no footage of the glitch being used in-game, but if it works, it would be very difficult for players to play against. It would allow the player to have a riot shield on both their front and back, making the player almost impossible to hit without the use of grenades. While it would restrict the player’s ability to get kills, it would still be massively annoying for others to deal with. Since its release,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2has had its share of glitches, although many are harmless and don’t affect gameplay in meaningful ways. For example, another glitch forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2resulted in a gorgeous rainbow camobeing displayed on the player’s weapon.

It’s unclear when this riot shield glitch was introduced to the game, although it appears to be new. Hopefully, Infinity Ward will look to fix the issue before it becomes a real problem in-game. With Season 2 going live, the company will want to ensure there aren’t any bugs that can give players an unfair advantage, and turn others away from the game. There’s already onebug inCall of Duty: Warzone 2that allows players to disappear into walls, and Infinity Ward will not want similar issues inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2as it can affect the long-term future of the game.

Rumors seem to be torn between two possibilities - the first being thatCall of Dutywill take its first gap year between releases in almost two decades and instead release an expansion toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It would be a huge change in direction for the franchise, so it comes as no surprise thatsome leakers are insisting thatCall of Duty 2023will be a full releaseafter all.Call of Dutytitles are usually revealed around June, so players have a few months of speculation to come before they find out the confirmed plans.
