An important aspect ofSuicide Squad: Kill The Justice Leaguecomes from the fact that players are thrust into an open-world Metropolis, invaded by Brainiac, as a squad of four. At the launch ofSuicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, players have access to Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark, fourcharacters that have their own playstyles, skills, builds, and complementary weapons and abilities.

Considering these four characters are so different in design, personality, and function, it’s no surprise that some players may want to experiment with their squad and select the best character for them inSuicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Luckily, there’s a way to change characters bothfor solo playersand during online sessions, so that players are not just stuck as one member of the Suicide Squad.

How To Switch Characters

After the tutorial missions in Chapter 1: Arkham’s Least Wanted, players will have free reign between the four core squad members. These tutorial missions will offer gameplay for each character so that players can see how their movement and weapon skills work. After this, players can easilyswitch characters at any time as long as they are outside of active combat by hitting the Left D-Pad Button.

Selecting the Left D-Pad Button willopen a Squad wheel, where players can hit other D-Pad buttons to select new members within their party. Each character has a logo that corresponds with them, and they go as follows:

Once players haveselected their character, they willinstantly be said characterbased on where they last were. If players are not currently controlling the individual characters, then they will remain as bots that follow the player around. In a solo lobby, players cannot have multiple versions of the same character, meaning a squad cannot consist of four Harley Quinns in thisArkhamverse continuation.

If players want tochange characters whilst in-game, then they canhead to Rick Flagin the Hall of Justice, as this willactivate the customized squad rotation menu.

How To Swap Characters During Online Play

Swapping characters during online play works a tad differently than in solo. Players will need to make sure that theyhave their chosen character assembled in the Squad menu before they click play, matchmake, or join a friend. Theirchosen character will be on the left of the screen, in an order of importance to the player’s squad. This means that theleft character will be taken into online play, andif there are slots free, they will take the second character on the left as their specific bot ally. In the image above, this means that the player character is Harley Quinn, and their swappable bot will be Captain Boomerang.

To change this, and avoid squads in online play from having multiple versions of the same character, players will need to select one of the bot characters and use the D-Pad’s left and right buttons to select and then confirm which squad member they want to be in the second priority slot. Once this has been confirmed, players can head into online play with a friend or strangers. They cannot swap to their friends’ characters or their friends’ bots.

Players can also change characters' Squad order andswap characters inSuicide Squad: Kill The Justice Leagueonce Rick Flag joins the Hall of Justice. Players simply need tofind Rick Flag and press Triangle/Y on himin order toaccess a Squad Menuthat allows them to swap out characters.
