This week was set to be massive for the video game industry and Geoff Keighley’sSummer Game Festevent. It was originally going to include Sony’s much-anticipated PS5 game showcase, as well as a number of smaller events this weekend that would mainly highlight smaller games coming to current- and next-generation platforms. The George Floyd protests that are taking place around the world has pushed back these plans, however, with Summer Game Fest participants rescheduling their presentations out of respect for the Black Lives Matter movement.

While the PS5 game event has no new date, a couple of the postponed Summer Game Fest events have indeed gotten new dates. The PC Gaming Show, an annual event that highlights the biggest upcoming PC titles, will now take place on June 13 at an undetermined time. Future Games Show, hosted by GamesRadar, will also take place on June 13, and it will air at 1:30pm PT.

So far, none of the other upcoming Summer Game Fest events have been delayed. Guerrilla Collective, which will show offBaldur’s Gate 3and more, is still scheduled to air on June 6 at the time of this writing. June 9 also has three big events that haven’t been delayed, consisting of The Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition, an update onWorld of Warcraft: Shadowlands, and Bungie’sDestiny 2: The Next Chapterpresentation. The EA Play event is still on for June 11 as well.

While those looking forward to the PC Gaming Show and Future Games Show are no doubt happy that the events have new dates, it’s likely that most people are interested in the PS5 game showcase. Unfortunately, thePS5 game showcase delaydid not come with a new date, and so fans can’t circle their calendars just yet. It’s possible that the event will still take place in June at some point, but it also wouldn’t be out of the question to see it pushed back to July.

If the PS5 game showcase is delayed to July, it would put it closer to the Xbox Series X game showcase. A specific date for the Xbox Series X game showcase has yet to be announced, but fans know that it will take place in July at some point and will focus on first-party Xbox games, likeHalo Infinite.
