While most of theAddams Familyadventures feature some groovy gyrations amidst the melancholy, none has made quite as much of an impression as Jenna Ortega. She became a social media phenomenon overnight with her dance scene as the title character inWednesday(now streaming onNetflix.)

The tortured young soul is barely recognizable with her bleach-blonde beehive, poofy attire, and pink cowboy boots. As much as Wednesday tries to avoid participating in the show, the persistent girls guide her through the movements regardless. Althoughrather awkward and cringey, the woeful child redeemed the scene by finishing things off with an iconic shower of blood. (Well, it’s red paint in this case, but the classic horror trope clearly shines through.)

As the ladies join the band in the background, the faux-Fester surprisingly picks up the movements quite proficiently, until the music picks up speed and things go a bit haywire.
