Fading Memoriesis being written by Polish scriptwriter Bartosz Sztybor, who has won multiple awards at the Lodz International Festival of Comics and Games according to Europe Comics; and drawn by Iranian illustrator Amad Mir, who worked on the French comicZarathustraaccording to the same site. It is one of a number of series created by Dark Horse Comics includingThe Witcher: House of GlassandThe Witcher: Fox Childrenin conjunction withCD Projekt Red, also the developers ofCyberpunk 2077.

It makes perfect sense for Dark Horse to be cranking out moreWitcher-related content right now considering how hot the property is thanks to Netflix’s adaptation. The show dominated seemingly all Internet discourse for months after its first season released in December 2019, in no small part thanks to memes surroundingthe earworm “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher.”

The cover of the upcoming series, drawn by Evan Cagle, showcases an older, listless Geralt in front of a compelling background that seems to show the titular ‘fading memories’ in the abstract. This portrayal will undoubtedly be quite different from Henry Cavill’s use of the character he portrayed toroot for his favorite Super Bowl team.

With a currently unknown release date for season two ofThe Witcheron Netflix, the Dark Horse Comics series coming this summer should be a good way to tide fans over in the meantime. Before then they can break outThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntandexplore the history of The Order of Witchersall over again.
