Following up the recent delay announcement, Sad Cat Studios issued a statement on Twitter updating eager fans onReplaced’s development progress. In the post, Sad Cat cites a desire to make the game the best it can be as the reason for needing the extra time. Offering a glimpse into the game’s ambition, Sad Cat revealed thatReplacedis set to feature over 500 hand-drawn animations for just the platforming alone. Judging by its trailers and how much painstaking effort Sad Cat seems to be pouring into it,Replacedcould wind up being one of the most impressiveindie titles Game Pass has on offer in 2024.
Shifting to 2024 may turn out to be a better move forReplacedwhen considering just how crowded Xbox Game Pass' lineup is for the rest of this year.
