Summary

A skilledZelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayer takes down a Lynel in a clip that looks like something out of a Samurai movie. The clip adds to the growing trend ofTears of the Kingdomplayers finding ways to delete Lynelswith ease.

Back whenThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwas first released, one of the most feared enemies in theZeldacommunity were the Lynels that patrolled Hyrule. These minotaur-like beasts could easily destroy Link with a wide range of attacks using extremely powerful bows, swords, and elemental powers. InThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Lynels are back, but this time, theZeldacommunity is ready for them. After years of experience with defeating Lynels inBreath of the Wild,Tears of the Kingdomfans have figured out ways to take out Lynels with style.

Reddit user A_Windows_User posted a clip of them elegantly deleting a silver-maned Lynel as ifLink was a Hylian samurai. The clip starts off with the camera swinging around into a wide shot of Link and a Lynel staring each other down in an open field. Link charges up a two-handed weapon as the Lynel gallops towards him. The Lynel smashes his sword down, only to be met with a parry, then a powerful arrow shot to the face. With the beast stunned, Link bounces high in the air, leaving a patch of fire below him, then glides down on top of the Lynels back to deliver the final blows. As the Lynel dies in the background, Link slowly walks toward the camera like nothing even happened.

The clip itself is very well edited, making it feel more like something out ofGhost of TsushimathanTears of the Kingdom. One of the biggest questions in the comments about the clip was how A_Windows_User managed to shoot high up in the air so quickly. This was achieved by using aHylian Sheild fused to a bomb flowerand jumping on top of it. Doing so launches the player in the air and leaves behind a patch of fire if used in a grassy area.

Killing Lynels inTears of the Kingdommay turn into the next big trend in theZeldacommunity as more of these clips hit the internet. Most of these clips show Link using a contraption made out of Zonai devices to take down these giant beasts, but there’s just something more impressive seeing a player take down a Lynel with a bow, a sword, and some skill.
