Thor: Love and Thunderis only a couple of weeks away, and the promotional tour is in full swing as a result. Now, Taika Waititi and Tessa Thompson have helped share new clips that demonstrate how Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is adapting to Natalie Portman becoming Mighty Thor.

Thor: Love and Thunderwill see Hemsworth’s titular hero embark on a journey of self-discovery, one that’s disrupted by the arrival ofChristian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher. Determined to kill all gods for the injustices he’s suffered, Gorr’s mission will bring Thor and Jane Foster back together as they team up to defeat this sinister new villain.

During an appearance onThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Waititi introduced a new clip in which Thor and Korg find themselves in a crowded room full of Asgardians (presumably). As Jane Foster converses with members of the crowd, Korg tries to get the details of Thor’s past with his ex-flame while the latter watches his ex from across the room. As Korg asks if Thor finds it difficult to see his ex-lover with his former hammer, and getting along so well at that, the God of Thunder tries to summon Mjolnir back into his own hands. Instead, he finds himself summoning Stormbreaker, which he pretends was his intention all along.

Meanwhile, onJimmy Kimmel Live, Thompson introduced a different clip, this onefeaturing her character Valkyriealong with Thor, Foster, and Korg. It seems the group is trying to locate a threat (presumably Gorr) and deduce that they must be in the shadow realm. When Thor explains that the atmosphere in the shadow realm contains a darkness so powerful that color almost fears to venture there, Foster says, “if it’s color we need, let’s bring the rainbow,” before flying off on her own. Thor and Valkyrie discuss how much difficulty Foster has coming up with good catchphrases until she returns and admits she jumped the gun. The group then comes up with another plan, suspecting their new foe could be setting a trap.

Based on the newThor: Love and Thunderclip, it seems there are going to be some growing pains for both Thor and Foster. While Thor will have to get used to seeing Mjolnir in the hands of someone else, Foster is having some trouble perfecting her superhero persona.

This situation should make for an interesting character journey for both heroes. Still, it’s nice to see that both are capable of working well together, even if their romantic relationship has seemingly fallen apart.

Thor: Love and Thunderwill be released in theaters on June 26, 2025.
