The Characters, Events, and Weapons Coming in Genshin Impact’s Version 3.8 Update

As for the characters that will feature in theversion 3.8 update, there aren’t any new characters expected to be released at this point, instead, the update will be rerunning existing characters. In addition to the character event wish banners, the 3.8 update will be giving out a free 4-star character from one of the events, since the 3.7 update gifted players a weapon, the Ibis Piercer Bow. The free character hasn’t been confirmed yet, but leaks are pointing toward Layla, a Cryo Sword user.

One of the 5-star characters in the first phase of the event wish banners is extremely likely to beEula, a Cryo Claymore user, known for her incredibly powerful elemental burst. Eula is currently the character with one of the largest gaps since their last appearance in the character event banner, so a lot of the community is insistent that Eula will return in 3.8 for this reason. The last time that Eula was featured in an event wish banner was in the version 2.3 update in late 2021.

The other 5-star character expected to appear in the phase 1 event wish banners for the 3.8 update isKlee, a Pyro Catalyst user. Klee often appears in the summer updates forGenshin Impact, which lines up with the release date of version 3.8. The 4-star characters in both of the phase 1 event banners are expected to be Mika and Rosaria, both Cryo Polearm users, and Razor, an Electro Claymore user.

For the phase 2 event wish banners, the 5-star characters are expected to be Wanderer, an Anemo Catalyst user, and Sangonomiya Kokomi, a Hydro Catalyst user. Wanderer was first introduced with the Sumeru series of updates and fans will have yet another chance to pull for them as the Sumeru series of updates and storyline come to a finale. Kokomi is expected to be in the phase 2 banners due to the character’s relevance in the major event of the 3.8 update. The 4-star characters of the phase 2 banners are expected to be Thoma, a Pyro Polearm user, Yanfei, a Pyro Catalyst user, and Faruzan, an Anemo Bow user.

Themajor event forGenshin Impact’s 3.8 updatewill take players to a unique location that will only be available for its duration. The event is said to take place in an amusement park, though more information will come via the 3.8 Special Program, as well as information on the new map, quests, and Genius Invocation TCG changes. Additionally, there are expected to be new character outfits inGenshin Impactfor Kaeya and Klee.

The 5-Star weapons coming in the 3.8 update wish banners are anticipated to correspond with the character banners. For the 3.8 Eptiome Invocation banners, players can expect the Song of Broken Pines Claymore and the Dodoco Tales Catalyst in phase 1, and the Everlasting Moonglow and Tulaytullah’s Remembrance Catalysts in phase 2.

Genshin Impactis now available on PC, Mobile, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
