Warner Bros. and DC’sWonder Woman 1984will introduce audiences to Kristen Wiig’s incarnation of the classic DC villain known as Cheetah, and a new doll provides a rare glimpse at the character’s final form. Oddly enough, she bears a striking resemblance to Grammy award-winning musician Lady Gaga.

Now scheduled for anOctober 2020 theatrical release following multiple delays,Wonder Woman 1984finds Diana Prince reuniting with the long-deceased Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and coming into conflict with two formidable foes. The first new adversary is Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord, a media businessman who seemingly holds the key to granting anyone’s desires, and Kristen Wiig’s Barbara Ann Minerva, a.k.a Cheetah. While comic book fans are familiar with Cheetah’s look, the filmmakers have opted to keep the character’s design forWonder Woman 1984a closely-guarded secret.

Earlier this week, Walmart unveiled the Cheetah Battle Doll and noted that the figure is, indeed, inspired by thecharacter’s transformation inWonder Woman 1984. In addition to providing details on the 11-inch figure, including the clawed feet and flexible limbs, the retail chain also noted that Wiig’s Barbara Ann Minerva will be a member of Diana Prince’s team at the Smithsonian before becoming her fiercest foe. At a cost of$24.99, the Cheetah doll is just one of the manyWonder Woman 1984products that will be available for fans to collect ahead of the sequel’s release.

In addition to twice delaying the theatrical release ofWonder Woman 1984, the coronavirus pandemic has also had an impact on the development of the third installment of the film series. Director Patty Jenkins, who helmed the first two entries and plans to return for the third, recently revealed that she haspaused work onWonder Woman 3because the plotline was informed by the state of the world before COVID-19.

Of course, Cheetah’s 1943 debut on the pages ofWonder Woman #6long predates the arrival of Lady Gaga. And this certainly isn’t the firstaction figureto bear little resemblance to the actor portraying the character, but seriously, just look at that face. Then look atthis. It’suncanny.

Wonder Woman 1984is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 31, 2025.
