XDefiant’slatest update fixes some of these problems, mainly social ones. One of the fixes improves crossplay settings visibility when in a party, while another corrects social names displaying incorrectly intheXDefiantfriend list. An issue was related to party invites for Xbox and PlayStation players. Instead of the invite coming from Ubisoft Connect, it was showing as if it was from the console network, which shouldn’t be the case. Finally, the update fixes a crash caused by spamming the View Party Invites screen.

Among the miscellaneous updates are various security improvements, a fix to missing terrain textures for players joining matches in progress, and a repair to a situation that allowed PS5 players to sneak into where they shouldn’t. Although every fix is welcome, some players were hoping to see more out of this update. Since launch, players have complained about thesniper rifles inXDefiant. The game’s executive director, Mark Rubin, commented on Twitter that an upcoming patch would address the weapon. Many expected this patch would balance the sniper rifle, but that wasn’t the case. According to Rubin, these big changes will come in next week’s patch.

As a free-to-play live-service game,XDefiantis highly dependent on player feedback. For example, the game has an in-game shop and battle pass, which supplies players with various cosmetics. However, some players have complained thatXDefianthas no free skins, a feature traditionally common in other FPS games. TheXDefiantteam is very transparent regarding future updates, but they haven’t commented on the possible inclusion of free skins.

On social media, players have asked if the game will add a mode like Search & Destroy or a Killcam feature to it, and, at the time, the developers said yes, eventually,XDefiantwill receive these two new features, along with many other additions and fixes. So there is still hope for other community concerns to be addressed as well.
