Zenless Zone Zerohad a strong launch, providing players with useful rewards, login bonuses, and more. Starting on July 15, the first in-game event, Friendship Supervision, became available, giving players a glimpse of the type of events they can expect in the game. This event shares similarities with HoyoVerse’s other titles, includingGenshin ImpactandHonkai: Star Rail, featuring time-gated content that unlocks progressively over the upcoming days.
By participating in the Friendship Supervision event, players canobtain a new Bangboo named Luckyboo, along with special core-upgrade materials needed to fully upgrade it. This event is particularly beneficial for players focusing on Physical-oriented teams, as Luckyboo and its upgrades can significantly enhance their gameplay. Here’s what players are expected to do to complete each day’s event commission successfully.
How To Unlock Friendship Supervision Event in Zenless Zone Zero
Players will automatically receive the event quest after reachingInter-Knot Level 30and completing Chapter 2 Interlude. The event is relatively straightforward, requiring players to follow the steps of the quest for each daily event commission. The event is divided into five sections, each unlocking one day after the other. Each section consists of a Hollow (Combat) commission, followed by two more steps: Ambush Training and Celebration, which are essentially City quests.
Day 1- See You at the Door
Steps to complete the first day of the event is as follows:
Hollow Commission - See You at the Parking Lot
After existing the HDD, players will be prompted into a dialogue scene with Eous and Wise. Following the new commission marker, players will then receive a new commission - Amillion’s commission and a Crumpled Graffiti (I). Players will then need to head to Brant Street Construction Site as directed with the event quest marker.
Inorder to find the Bangboo, players will need to go up through the elevator behind Officer Mew Mew, where they will find an unfamiliar Bangboo on the corner - which is Luckyboo. Afterwards, they can head back to Parking Lot to continue the quest. Doing so will allow players to unlock Ambush Training and Celebration Photo.
Celebration Photo
Players will need to head to theBangboo statue near Gadget Galaxyin Sixth street, where they can complete both Celebration Photo and Ambush Training. Celebration Photo is relatively straightforward. to start, players need to select the Celebration Photo option via the quest marker, and will automatically go into the photo mode upon doing so. They will need to angle the photo in a certain way by using the camera-mode tools, in order to take the picture in the way requested by the Bangboos. Players will simply need to adjust the camera, until all conditions are met, before taking the photo.
Ambush Training
This part is quite straightforward and can be completed before or after the Celebration Photo task. In this segment, players are required to count all the hiding Bangboo in the area within the given time limit and then choose the correct answer from the three options provided. Players can move the camera angle to find all the hiding Bangboo. For the first day of the event,the correct answer to the Ambush Training is 8.
After completing both of these, players will be able to progress with the first part of the event further, where they will have some dialogues with the Bangboo in the Parking Lot, and then they will be need to head inside Random Play to speak with Wise to complete the first day of the event, unlocking Friendship Supervision (II) requirement for the next day.
Day 2- Lost Friend
Players will automatically be able to continue from where they left off. Steps to complete the second day of the event is as follows:
Hollow Commission - Proxy Parent: Bangboo Search
After existing the HDD, players will need to head to the Parking Lot where they will have a dialogue with the Bangboos and receive Crumpled Graffiti (II). Players will then need to head to Lumina Square as directed with the event quest marker.
to find the Bangboo, players will need to go to the Coff Cafe, and head upstairs to find the next Bangboo, named Mind Your Own. After doing so players can go back to the Parking Lot to have a dialogue with the Bangboos, as well as with Eous and Wise to complete Friendship Supervision II. After this, Ambush Training and Celebration Photo for second day will unlock.
Players will need to head to Lumina Square this time for both Celebration Photo and Ambush Training. The event quest is located near the cube-shaped statues by the Parking Lot. The Photo is straightforward once again, but players will need rotate the camera quite a bit to comply with all Bangboo’s wishes and have a similar alignment to the photo above.
Once again players need to count the amount of hiding Bangboo by rotating the camera around within the time frame.The correct answer this time is 16.
Day 3- Superstar Explorer
This time, players will simply need to talk to Wise, and then continue from where they left off for the third day off by entering the HDD.
Hollow Commission - Proxy Parent: Precise Location
After exiting the HDD, players will this time receive Crumpled Graffiti (III) after talking with the Bangboo. The missing Bangboo is once again in Lumina Square, but this time hiding at the entrance of the Parking Lot behind the parking sign. It is an Exploraboo named Hull Tripper. Finding this Bangboo will allow players to go back to the Parking Lot in the Sixth Street, and after a short dialogue with them, followed by a dialogue with Wise and Eous they will be able to complete Friendship Supervision III. Doing so will unlock the Ambush Training and Celebration Photo for the third day.
In order to complete the Celebration Photo and Ambush Training, players will need to go to the Brant Street Construction Site this time. Head all the way to the back from where Mew Mew is as visible with the quest marker, to find the location as a concrete brick. This time photo requires a little bit more precise angling for Luckyboo, especially for mobile players, but it is not difficult overall, as can be seen above.
In the same area, players will need to count the hiding Bangboo, most of them are only visible when the camera is panned from up to down.The correct answer this time is 21.
Day 4 - Gold Only
This day of the event continuation is quite different from the previous days, as this time players will not be going through a Combat event, Ambush Training or Celebration Photo. Instead, all daily tasks for Day 4 will be completed by following along the Event Story, and a Puzzle Hollow Commission as follows.
Day 5 - Lucky Day
The last day of the event is quite similar to Day 4, as once again, players will need to follow along an Exploration Hollow Commission. Players may find the last day’s task a little more difficult and time-consuming than previous ones, but overall, it is not overly challenging.
This time, the goal of the puzzle will be to save the Bangboo on each floor, instead of catching the Golden Bangboo. Players will need to avoid Golden Bangboo on the way and create distractions while they make their way to the Bangboos and the next floors. Golden Bangboo can be lured with Gold Gears within a 2-tile radius. Players will need to place these coins in strategic places while opening a route for them to pass safely. Since Golden Bangboo returns to its usual track after collecting the gear, it’s recommended that players lay a few gold coins on the way while they circle back to where they need to go.
After exiting HDD, players will need to go to the Parking Lot, take a picture of all Bangboo, and have a short dialogue to complete the entire event and collect all rewards.
All Rewards for Friendship Supervision Event
By completing all parts of the event, players will earn a variety of rewards, including 500 Polychromes, 3 Boopoons, an Agent, a W-Engine, upgrade materials for Bangboo, Dennies, and Luckyboo, along with cores to fully upgrade its skills.
